100% Wool Boucherouite Rug
Boucherouite comes from the Arabic bu sherwit meaning "made out of rags." As the name implies, these rugs are woven from older pieces for domestic use. The style resulted from the transition of the Berber people of the Central Plains in Northern Morocco from nomadic herding to an urban life after the arrival of the Arabs, which made wool harder to come by.
Due to their handmade nature, no two rugs are alike.
